Matchday Traffic Information

On match days, the area around the Weser-Stadium is closed to traffic from 2 ½ hours before until shortly after kick-off. Consequently, there are no parking spaces available directly at the stadium.

But the good news is: For visitors arriving by car, there are a lot of free Park & Ride spaces, which we recommend to use, especially those at the car park “Hemelinger Hafen” since there are free shuttle services to and from that car park.

How to Get to the Free Park and Ride Car Parks

Please take the exit “Hemelingen” and then drive in the direction of the P+R car park “Hemelinger Hafen”, which is well signposted. Parking is free of charge on display of a valid ticket for the match. From there, shuttle buses will take you to the stadium and back to the car park again. The trip lasts about 10 minutes. For fans having a valid ticket, this service is free of charge as well. The shuttle services begin at about one hour to one and a half hours before kick-off and run right up to the match. Shortly after the end of the match, the shuttle services back to the car park will start. There are quite a number of shuttle buses so that you don’t need to fear a long wait. The shuttle services will last until all the people who want to be taken back to the car park have been picked up.

Tickets for Werder Bremen’s home matches are valid for public transport in the city of Bremen from six hours before kick-off until the end of the day.
